How we do it
Expand’s main tool is our benchmarking technology, which allows us to work with raw data from clients.
The benchmarking process begins when Expand is sent data from our clients, via a secure environment. We then map client data into the data repository using our standard taxonomy, with some data verification and client interviews along the way to ensure consistency. The data is validated and confirmed with the client, and is then benchmarked against peers. We create and visualize a host of metrics and analyse the data to find trends and actionable insights. The visuals and commentary are then compiled into report format, which is then securely sent to the client.
Another way in which Expand helps financial institutions is the holding of roundtables for senior managers. Expand facilitates discussion of client-driven topics between participants, enabling the fostering of communities across many segments of the finance industry, from product-specific remits such as FX, Rates and Credit to group-wide functions like Risk, Finance and Compliance.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for academically excellent candidates with evidence of a passion for the world of finance. Our Analysts and Associates have a high analytical aptitude and are comfortable working with large amounts of data. Communication in written and verbal form are also key skills – you will be expected to contribute to data discussions with clients from an early stage.
